Friday, February 9 Happy Hour Kabbalat Shabbat

Join us on Friday evening, Feb. 9, 2023 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., to celebrate a Happy Hour Kabbalat Shabbat. The service will be held at the residence of a member of our congregation and the title of the lecture given by Rabbi Goor will be "Exploring the Depths of Prayer."

Since space is limited we can only accommodate up to 15 people, so we kindly ask you to confirm your attendance by sending an email to bethshalom.milano@gmail.com and let us know what you plan to bring for the appetizer (e.g., wine, pizzas, chips, olives) no later than Feb. 7. The address will be provided upon confirmation of your reservation.

A perfect opportunity to get together and give a warm welcome back to Rabbi Goor who will be coming directly from Israel.

Saturday, Feb. 10 Shachrit

10:30 a.m. Shabbat Shachrit led by our very own Rabbi Donald Goor.

After the service, Rabbi Goor will give a lecture that, although primarily for people who are embarking on the path of the ghiur, is also open to anyone from the congregation who would like to attend. The study session will be titled "What does it mean to be a Reform Zionist today?"

Saturday, March 23 Purim party led by Rabbi Donald Goor and Cantor Evan Kent.

4-5 p.m.: Group study for adults on the theme of Purim led by Rabbi Goor.

5-6:30 p.m.: Abbreviated reading of the Megillah, followed by a quiz, children's games, music, prizes, wine and desserts will ensure a rich and fun afternoon for all participants.

We invite you to bring hamantaschen or any other kind of refreshments.

Besides, we will be playing the Mishloach Manot raffle together this year. So please bring a small meaningful item (e.g., a book, notebook, toy, etc.) or sweets that will be exchanged during the raffle.

Monday, April 22 Pesach Seder

Don't Pass Over Passover

On Monday, April 22, Beth Shalom will celebrate the first evening of Pesach at 6:30 p.m. with a group seder in Milan.

Our trilingual (Italian, English and Hebrew) seder will be led by Rabbi Donald Goor and Cantor Evan Kent who will join us directly from Israel to celebrate this moment of freedom with us. Rabbi Goor's skillful conducting and Cantor Kent's voice will set the tone for a surely memorable seder. In order to make the best possible catering arrangements, please reserve and pay for your seats no later than Wednesday, April 16.
